Position of Notary in the Industrial Revolution Era 4.0

Abstract


The Industrial Revolution 4.0 era encourages utilization in various sectors and professions, including the position of a Notary. Notaries have other powers, one of which is about cyber notaries. This creates a normative contradiction that arose in Article 15 (3) and Article 16 paragraph 1 letter m of Law no. 02/2014 which stipulates that a notary must read the deed before an audience in the presence of two witnesses. The normative juridical approach is the approach that the author uses in this study. The purpose of this research is to find out the legal consequences of a notary deed that is not read out because the parties are not present and the validity of a notary deed that uses the concept of cyber notary as an authentic deed.
